One of the desirable vintage Rolex watches right now is the Oysterdate Precision due to the fact that its understated and classic design contrast the busier look of some of the modern Rolex watches. It's a watch that is perfectly at home being worn everyday or only for special occasions. Produced from the early 1950's into the 1980's, it was a strong commercial success for Rolex, winning a large following.

This is a very early ref. 6466 made in the 3rd quarter of 1956.

It measures just over 30mm in diameter. As a midsize watch, it suits a man looking for a smaller vintage watch or a woman looking for more of a modern size watch.

It has a strong matte black dial with gold accents, which give the watch a dressier look than an all-steel Rolex and give it greater versatility; it can be dressed up or down.

Powering the watch is its original Rolex Caliber 1210 handwound movement with date and early shock resistance.

It has all of its original Rolex parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition - on the wrist it presents like new. Our photos couldn't do it justice.

Its case presents as mint. Its Rolex dial has been meticulously restored - its printing could pass as Rolex factory done to the naked eye.
